Experienced Care
I’m Michael Vlahoulis, owner of Creating Wellness Center, a Wisconsin Licensed Massage Therapist, and a Master Myoskeletal Therapist®. I have been practicing massage and bodywork since 2012.
I created Creating Wellness Center for people who want more than the same massage every time. Some clients come in with a specific area that keeps feeling tight or uncomfortable. Others want support recovering from the physical demands of work, exercise, travel, or everyday life. My role is to listen, understand what you are experiencing, and shape the session around your goals.
I do not believe that more pressure is always the answer. Focused work should feel purposeful, but it should also respect your comfort and how your body responds.
Why MAT Became My Specialty
I was drawn to Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques® because the approach fits the way I work: hands-on, focused, and responsive.
MAT allows me to combine detailed soft-tissue work with comfortable positioning, client feedback, and gentle movement when helpful. Rather than following a predetermined sequence, I adapt the session based on what you are noticing and how the work feels to you.
In December 2025, I completed the 210-hour Master Myoskeletal Therapist® diploma program through the Freedom from Pain Institute. This advanced training strengthened the thoughtful, individualized approach that now defines much of my work.
What You Can Expect
Creating Wellness Center is a private, one-on-one practice. Every appointment is with me, providing consistency from one session to the next.
I take time to understand what is most important to you that day. Throughout the session, I adjust the focus, pressure, pace, and positioning based on your comfort and feedback. I am happy to explain the work when helpful, and you are always encouraged to speak up about what feels right—or what does not.
My goal is straightforward: to provide skilled, attentive care that helps you feel more comfortable and move with greater ease.

This is a private, one-on-one practice. Your appointment is not rushed, your session is not handed off to another provider, and your care is never based on a scripted routine. You work directly with Michael each time.
Whether you are looking for focused MAT work, customized Therapeutic Massage, or a quieter restorative session, the goal is the same: thoughtful care that helps you feel more comfortable and at ease in your body.
THE FOUNDATION
Becoming a Massage Therapist
Driven by my own recovery, I pursued a career in massage therapy. I wanted to offer others the relief I had fought so hard to find. My initial training provided a strong foundation in anatomy and traditional techniques, but I quickly realized that simply relaxing muscles wasn’t enough to resolve deep-seated, chronic issues.
SPECIALIZATION
The Journey into MAT
My search for more effective solutions led me to Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques (MAT). MAT’s focus on the intricate relationship between muscles, fascia, and the skeletal system resonated deeply with me. It wasn’t just about pressing on sore spots; it was about identifying and correcting the underlying strain patterns causing the pain.
PRACTICE
How I Help
I work with clients who are tired of managing their pain and are ready to resolve it. Through comprehensive assessments and targeted manual therapy, I help uncover the root causes of dysfunction. My sessions are collaborative, focused on educating you about your body so you can actively participate in your healing process.
CORE BELIEFS
My Philosophy
I believe the body has an innate capacity to heal when provided with the right environment and input. My role is not to “fix” you, but to act as a facilitator, helping to remove the physical and neurological barriers that are preventing your body from returning to a state of balance and ease.
